Her Whistle and Hum album is picking up fans around the globe and she is ready to share her experiences, and guide five lucky youngsters with a passion for music that just won't quit.

The inimitable Aaron Tokona (AHoriBuzz, Cairo Knife Fight) is confirmed as the guest tutor for April's workshop.  Aaron's kick-ass sound and onstage presence make him one of the nation's most sought-after performers. The workshop is aimed at young adults (or young-at-heart adults) who are serious about pursuing a career within the music industry. It takes place on April 20 and 21 and is limited to five places. The final date for registrations is April 4th.

November offers a workshop for younger musicians keen to progress in songwriting, recording, performing and band work. Tutors are Lynne Christie (HOD Music Mt Aspiring College, 1994 - 2008, founder and director of Rippon Festival) and Anna van Riel: Winner Album of the Year (Southland Entertainment Awards, 2011), Winner Children's Song of the Year (2010 Dolphin Awards). Only four places are available and the workshop is aimed at students aged 10 to 13 years.

Our first Scuola workshop  for teachers of music looks at Composition, Electronica and Recording for teachers of Year 10 – 13 music students. The guest tutor is Daimon Schwalger (aka The Nomad) who has over 20 years of experiences as an audio producer. This professional development course is for teachers who wish to gain confidence in recording and developing the original pieces of their students.

The multi-talented Anna Coddington is confirmed as the next Sounz Bene guest tutor. The adult workshop (minimum age 16 years) focuses on songwriting, vocal techniques and recording, and takes place on April 15 & 16th. Anna's second album 'Cat And Bird' is due out in the next few weeks and she is touring with her phenomenal band which includes Riki Gooch (TrinityRoots, Eru Dangerspiel), Ned Ngatae (Eru Dangerspiel) and Mike Hall (Pluto, Night Choir).

There are only 5 places available for intermediate or advanced musicians who wish to further their songwriting career.

What a weekend!!! The phenomenal skills of Warren Maxwell made the Sounz Bene Performance & Songwriting workshop one that will never be forgotten. Chur Wazza!

The two-day workshop culminated in a superb gig celebrating the opening of Rippon Hall. Workshop participants opened for Warren Maxwell (solo acoustic) with their set of original songs.

The spectacular Hall at Rippon Vineyard has been many years in the planning. The Mills family were delighted with the event and are keen to host many more musical performances.

Congratulations to the workshop participants and we look forward to following your musical adventures...

The first place getters at Central Otago Regional Smokefree Rockquest, Mercury Brigade from Mount Aspiring College have completed the first Giovani workshop which featured Shapeshifter musicians as guest tutors.

The next Sounz Giovani workshop has been confirmed for October 23 - 25. It is for students aged 14 - 18 years, and covers composition, performance and  recording. The guest tutor will be announced next week. One scholarship is available.

The very first Sounz Forza workshop has been confirmed for Friday 13th and Saturday 14th August. With the tutors no other than the unstoppable Shapeshifter musicians, the 6 places available for the Performance Workshop are open only to students aged between 14 and 18 years. Participants need to have had previous performance experience, along with a proficiency in their chosen instrument. As well as guidance in performing, writing and working within the industry, students also get to witness the soundcheck of a Shapeshifter concert.
